Community mental health and psychosocial services sit across clinical, community, disability and social-service systems. Providers need clear boundaries, rights-based practice, strong safeguarding, capable workers, escalation pathways and governance that can oversee risk without undermining recovery-oriented support.
The Planning and Practice Hub supports mental health and psychosocial organisations to translate these expectations into practical systems for leaders and teams. Support includes governance, quality and policy frameworks, rights-based and recovery-oriented practice implementation, safeguarding, incident and complaint systems, workforce capability, supervision and reflective practice, psychosocial safety and workforce governance, risk, continuous improvement and assurance reporting, service-model and commissioning support, and practice assurance and implementation reviews.
Practice assurance tests whether rights, choice, dignity, recovery principles and professional boundaries are reflected in actual interactions, supervision, records, feedback and organisational learning. Workforce governance connects WHS duties, role clarity, workload, supervision, incident learning, psychological safety and organisational controls rather than treating psychosocial risk as a standalone policy. Where mental health services intersect with NDIS psychosocial delivery, support also addresses NDIS governance, safeguarding, registration and Practice Standards requirements. The aim is governance, quality and practice systems that protect workforce wellbeing, uphold rights, and give Boards clearer evidence of quality, safety and improvement.
